Presenting to Schools

This past Friday, I was honored to be able to present to high school students in Rochester-Adams High School!

It was extremely exciting and fun - I played "Impromptu Caprice" by Pierne, "A rosebud by my early walk" and "Fynbo" by Christina Tourin, and "Duke" by Bernard Andres. I also played my own arrangement of:

John Legend's "All of me" - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ydHuB8UXGDs

Christina Perri's "Thousand Years" - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tv_RxhqrmRI

Nat King Cole's "L-O-V-E" - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TFNJNsXZ8zw

Afterwards, I gave a "harp tasting" and let the students come up and play some glissandos and pluck some strings. The guys especially had a blast! One in particular, who was dressed up as a "sexy devil" complete with sunglasses, had the girls pretend-swooning at the harp. I wish I could have taken a photo!

I'll make recordings of the first three pieces soon, but I'm looking for my next "made at home" recording - shall I do "Let it Go" from Disney's Frozen?
